Kokomo Toys & Collectibles!

Having run into Kokomo Toys numerous times on eBay, I was always curious about what their brick and mortar store had to offer.

It was time to make a trip to Indiana!

Kokomo Toys is located in Kokomo, Indiana, just a little north of Indianapolis. The friendly staff there mentioned they were family owned.

The interior had about six of these deep aisles of actions figures. They had new/loose figures varying from modern to vintage!

The walls were outlined with cabinets filled with all types of figures and dolls. They had these two exclusive Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S., the black Amazon and the Atelis Warrior! Apparently, they had to order a huge quantity to get these made, and the exclusives are actually shared with another business in Britain!

I always love seeing the Ultra-Act 1/12 Ultraman figures from Bandai! I bought a ton of these when I was in Japan. The prices in this cabinet are not bad for these considering Ultraman stuff is almost non-existent in the U.S.!

I love 1/6 so this cabinet caught my eye! These are very gourmet figures, so my wallet refused me to purchase any!

Here is a plethora of all types of Marvel/DC toys! I wanted the DC Universe Classics Metron at the top right, but somewhere along the way his value shot up high! I remember when no one cared to buy this particular character.

I saw these fun cheapo fantasy figures, Griffins Legends of the Past! They were apparently K-Mart exclusives in the 90's. Can you believe these were produced by Formative?

I like to highlight places that do not spike prices on older or rarer characters. It was nice to see a Black Series Storm Trooper for a standard price and magically in stock!

This cabinet was dazzling, because it had a lot of random 70's action toys such as G.I. Joe, Big Jim, and Megos!

Apparently the 80's Sectaurs line is desirable now! I think their finger puppet functioning mounts are a cool gimmick!

Within the aisles were thousands of bagged figures for good prices!

This Rampage George from Lanard fetches for big money now. I would have totally bought it for $20 had I not gotten it on clearance years ago.

They carried a ton of modern 1/18 Joes for decent prices as well!

One of the corners of the store had this assembled U.S.S. Flagg for sale!

I rarely see Bandai's S.H. MonsterArts, but when I do, they always carry a heavy price tag. This intricate King Ghidorah is no exception.

They had a section of loose, cheap 1/6 figures, but I did not see anything I absolutely needed on this trip.

Here is a character you do not see very often! Terence Hill is an Italian performer famous for starring in Westerns where he works super agile stunts into his roles!

This was the main reason for me coming to Kokomo! Not only did they have plenty of Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. exclusives for sale, but they also carried a healthy selection of the main line too! They also had a bunch of Dime Novel Legends and Animal Warriors of the Kingdom. They sadly did not have any mounts though. I got a theory that the Boss Fight horses always sell out, because they are basically the only mount supply for ALL current 1/18 lines!

The whole store had a fun aesthetic; the tops of the cabinets were filled with various characters!

The 2001 Mark Wahlberg Planet of the Apes gets high criticism, but I liked it a lot and respected that it still used practical makeup to flesh out its ape population! Above General Thade is also a very loud view of Deadpool's junk!

Behind the counter, were more of these fun head mounts and other mannequins!

I recently got into these 1/18 fantasy figures from Boss Fight Studios. I always liked them, but I seriously could not find them for decent prices until a few months ago! (especially for their Spartans characters) I went crazy and picked up a ton of these very well priced Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S.!

The weather was slightly cool, but the trip was well worth it! The selection and the staff at Kokomo Toys were awesome! If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend stopping by! They still believe in making a toy store a fun experience!
