Tuskegee Airmen G.I. Joe Action Shots!

I recently visited the Tuskegee Airfield in Tuskegee, AL and just so happened to bring a Tuskegee Airmen G.I. Joe with me!

For those who do not know:

Tuskegee Airmen, black servicemen of the U.S. Army Air Forces who trained at Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alabama during World War II. They constituted the first African American flying unit in the U.S. military.

Some fun shots and Red Tails below!

These were shot on a particularly hot day, so it was super hard to keep ole' Joe standing. Tuskegee is located in the Black Belt (named for the dark soil superior for agriculture) of Alabama, so the temperature/humidity is extra high in that part of the state.

This Joe is the Fighter Pilot released from the 1996 Classic Collection line. Hasbro also released a Bomber Pilot at the same time. This line is some of the best 12 inch G.I. Joes Hasbro ever produced and still hold up in quality and playability today.
