I was within close proximity of the World's Largest Toy Museum, so I decided to step in!
See what lies inside!
| The World's Largest Toy Museum is located in Branson, Missouri. I swear, Branson is a carbon copy of Gatlinburg Tennessee! |
| The museum is made of two large separate buildings. Most of the interior are cabinets showered in different types of toys. |
| It was interesting to see a section dedicated to the 70's Mattel Big Jim line! Most of these figures have not aged well due to the rubber arm material, but I can definitely still see their charm. |
| The museum had all types of toys including this concentration of rare Popeye toys. |
| The Lego section was not huge, but I did appreciate their display of early minifigure sets from the 80's! |
| Here are some of the Sweathogs from Mattel's Welcome Back Kotter doll line. They are fun to look at in retrospect, but I do not think these would be very appealing to kids, even at the time of the show. |
| This is the early 80's Mr. T action figure from Galoob. This figure is not great, but from what I understand, he was the only bigger action figure out at that time. |
| Another treasure this museum had were many, many dioramas! |
| I am pretty sure the owners had a Western bias, so many of their items were frontier themed! |
| Some more Western themed miniatures in action! |
| You have to walk to the second part of the museum by going outside and walking down a hill. Outside is their beautiful mural of Western icons! |
| The entire museum is filled with these giant statues of fun subject matter! |
| The second building had a room dedicated to model trains! |
| I love this miniature circus encapsulated by railroad tracks! |
| There was another room dedicated to Western toys! Here are some figures including Marx's Best of the West! |
| Here is a cabinet full of Lone Ranger merchandise! |
| It appears this museum loves the Lone Ranger as well! |
| This is not action figure related, but in the Western room were a variety of vintage BB guns. I do not collect these, but I did want to spotlight how realistic these things look! |
| There was another room dedicated to 1/6 action figures and various toy soldiers! Most of the figures were kitbashed, but they were still fun to look at! |
| Here is a collection of civil war era G.I. Joes, Sideshow, and Formative action figures! |
| This was a model mountain designed for kids to play with miniatures as they are passing by! |
| There was a Star Wars figure section, but I thought this diorama was much more fun to share! |
| Alongside the Star Wars toys were more space toys. These are some vintage plastic spacemen and Mattel's 60's Major Matt Mason bendy figures! |
| This Star Trek diorama full of their Mego figures are what I like to see most at toy museums! |
| They had a Barbie section as well full of vintage and more recent dolls. |
| I do not care much for baby dolls, but I did appreciate these miniature houses in that section! |
| Toward the end of my self guided tour, I also ran into Mike Tyson! |
The World's Largest Toy Museum had many, many different toys so there is something in there for everyone! The owners of collections walk around the museum like regular employees; you would never know they were the ones who own those thousands of miniatures! If you love action figures, or really any other type of toy, this spot is worth visiting!
